Hatches Up is an app for desktop and iOS (Android coming soon) that exists to make life easier for street food operators and their customers.

For you and your business

Use Hatches Up to create a custom pre-order web page for your customers to place online orders. Customers can see where you'll be serving and when, order their items, select a guaranteed collection slot and pay online. As a trader, you can set limits in Hatches Up for how many orders you can handle in one slot so you don't become too busy or sell items you don't have. The software automatically handles all the logistics. It won't promise what you can't deliver.

For your customers

They can visit your order page, place their food order, pay, and turn up to collect their freshly prepared food at the time slot of their choice. They can easily see what stock is available to order, check allergen info, and add any specific messages (no pickles!) for you to see.

It's very clever. Hatches Up does a whole lot more than this too and will do more in the future. But that's the basics.

For you and your business

You know you have guaranteed, cash-in-the-bank orders before you set out and can smooth out your workflow during service so it's never too busy or too quiet.

You can choose to sell out your event before you arrive, taking and cooking only exactly what you have sold, reducing waste, or leave space for new PoS/walk-up orders if you prefer.

Because the orders are taken care of by the system, you have more time to focus on cooking, and chatting to your customers - no need to take phone orders, or manage everything on WhatsApp! This reduces overall stress, reduces the need for extra staff to just take orders, ensures your customers are happy and generally makes service a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
